The iTunes-compatible phone in many ways mimics the iPod, according to a first-hand PC Magazine report.
"It syncs with a computer and the iTunes Music Store like an iPod does, and incorporates the iPod interface for navigating and playing digital music," said Ron Garriques, a Motorola executive vice president.
Garriques also revealed that the phone is the first of many Motorola devices that will support iTunes this year. However, he did not provide product specs or say when the phone would be available.
Last month, Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of applications, said the company was 'definitely on schedule' to make a mobile phone related announcement within the first half of 2005.
"What we've talked about is a something that is valuable for the mass market," Cue said. "It has to be a phone in the middle-tier of the market, not a $500-tier phone. It has to be very seamless to use. And we're very happy with the results."
No images of the phone have yet to surface in a public forum, but prototype units have reportedly been spotted with bluetooth streaming capabilities and 1GB of flash memory-based storage.
Like the iPod, the iTunes-compatible phone will play tracks purchased from Apple's iTunes music download service.

I wasn't sure I'd live to see it happen, but Nokia has finally launched its 7710 touchscreen smartphone in Europe and Africa (it was announced in November). The 7710 is a curious mix of once cutting edge features like a megapixel camera and VPN client combined with strange but unique capabilities like pen input and handwriting recognition. I can't imagine there will be a big rush for this half-hearted product, but I know a lot of you have been waiting to try it out. Have at it.

We don't have many gaming laptops out ther so I decided to do a review on this one. Toshiba has announced a new "ultimate gaming machine" called the Satellite P35, with a decently-fast mobile Pentium 4 (3.3GHz) and a less-than-cutting-edge ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (optional; the default is the 9000). It looks pleasent enough, with its sexy chrome track star screen saver on its glossy 17-inch widescreen (manufacturers note: removing chrome nudist will revoke limited warranty), and it's got Harman Kardon speakers in there somewhere I'm sure they'll sound fantastic in the quiet of your favorite airport lounge.

Pricing for the megatron superstar starts at $1,800, although expect it to climb upwards of $2,500 when it's all said and done. You can get a white-box laptop with just as much or more oomph for a bit less. Just saying.

On the long and oft bumpy road to Total Electronic Device Convergeance, there are many (and frequently, very pretty) stops. Now, while the days where we can hold a camcorder-digital camera-cellphone-gaming console-PDA-MP3 player in one hand are probably not that far ahead, theyâre not quite here yet. However, we can try to dry our tears of longing with the sight (certainly not the possession) of one such stop on the aforementioned road: this fine item from Pantech and Curitel.

The PH-L4000V integrates a 2.1 MP digital camera and can take camcorder quality footage and printable pictures unto a memory card of unspecified format. It has a flash and optical zoom. And oh yeah, you can make cellular calls on it too.

Now, like I said, donât get too excited. Youâre not likely to see one in America anytime soon. This is being released in Korea, and thatâs where itâs likely to stay for the next little while. Unless of course you want to try your hand at importing it, at the risk of losing features and breaking the interface.

American Airlines' In-Flight Portable Media Device

American Airlines is set to provide an in-flight entertainment media player for $8 a flight, filled with moves, music videos, games, and that day's major newspapers. Apparently, half of American's fleet are MD-80s which have no on-board entertainment. Rather than spending lots of money to retrofit them with expensive, integrated systems, American hopes to addresspassenger needs on a more individual basis.

Man this thing is awsome! HTC continues to produce amazing smartphones yet they're still treated like a second-class producer here in the States. Check out this just-announced MDA IV: on the outside it looks like the i-Mate JAM, but inside it has a QWERTY keyboard and a twist-around screen. Add in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a really fast 520MHz processor and it basically becomes the GSM phone of my dreams (the only thing it could do better would be to operate on a real 3G network). Doesn't it look like a small notebook. T-Mobile Germany will definitely get the unit and you should expect it to be a popular import here if no carrier gives it a proper launch but they should, because I want one.

This is a little known tool from Microsoft to record screen captures as videos, so you can create tutorials for friends, family, whoever, i can think of countless times this owuld have come in handy. IE trying to teach grandma how to send an e-mail, or explain to mom and dad how to crop an image. Very cool I give it two thumbs up!!

Sony to Launch Music Download Service for PSP

The Register is reporting that Sony will be launching a new music service specifically for its PSP portable gaming system. The new download service is supposed to be in place by March here to coincide with the launch of Sony's player. Tony Smith speculates that the service, once in place, could just as easily be used to push video content down to the device, which doesn't have a hard drive, but can accept flash MemoryStick in 1-2GB sizes plenty big for a couple of movies.
I think if Sony's got a shot at the iPod, the PSP is it. It can do almost everything you'd want to do while on the road, including productivity stuff (if they release a keyboard).

MioTech is showing off their new Mio269, which has the distinction of being the first GPS units with a built-in hard drive (which honestly, sounds a little suspect to me, but maybe in the handheld space that's true). The 2.5GB hard drives are pre-loaded with maps of Europe, but retain 500MB of free space for MP3s, which is pretty considerate of them. MioTech is also launching the Mio268, which has the same functions, but is cheaper and uses flash memory instead of the hard disc.

Googles Plan to Take Over the World!!!

Googles is slowly but shurly taking over the computer. In the past year or 2 google has been working to become bigger and bigger. Now one of Googles biggest sucesses is Gmail. A E-mail provider that gives you 1GB of space. Google also recently put out a new beta search engine that you can search TV!!! This would allow you to search for text and will return a still image of the video for each show that included your text and the closed-captioning to go with it. Video playback is planned for the future. If this is not enough Google has been hiring people who worked on Internet Explorer to help build a web browser. Ther are also rumors that google will be making an OS!!!!! Now Google is also seling hard ware that will alow you to seach documents within your buissness. Wow I am exsausted now. Yep it says G5 you aren't blind. Right now, the code simply places a 1 x 1-pixel placeholder graphic on the page. This could just be an error or else it could be an attempt by Apple to get those Apple lovers excited about it.

Well I think this is very cool. It is a virtual and portable keyboard for your cell phone or PDA. It can also be used for a regular computer! The device uses a red diode laser to illuminate the space, but infrared technology is used to track finger movements of the user and interpret which virtual key was intended to be activated. According to 2P, the company that markets and distributes the Virtual Laser Keyboard in the US, the device works on any surface "absolutely reliable" and as efficient as a regular keyboard. "There is no difference compared to a desktop keyboard," a representative of 2P said. The size of the virtual keyboard is 215mm by 90mm and is designed to "fit on a tray in an airplane," he added. The virtual keyboard currently supports 17 different PDAs and cell phones in addition to any notebook and computer. Nintendo’s "Revolution" Console!!!!

I found some dirt on Nintendo's new console. I'm sure you will like this.

That Nintendo is building gyroscopes into the controllers, presumably to add some sort of motion-control aspect to games.
The console will have dual processors and built-in broadband (we're assuming Ethernet, but maybe also WiFi?).
There are no plans to connect the DS to the Revolution, but there could be some integration with the Game Boy Evolution.
The Revolution will have four controller ports, a hard drive, and support for high-resolution displays and Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound.
The console will be backwards-compatibility with GameCube games, and in what would only be a swipe at Sony, its drive will use HD-DVD, rather than Blu-ray, discs.
The console will launch with a new Mario game (of course), and there is a new Zelda game in the works.
There's some teaser stuff at the end about how the truly revolutionary part of the new console is going to be something that is nothing new technically speaking. It is just something that hasn't really been applied to video games before. The tipster also claims that his source would only tell him that touching is good but feeling is better.

I think this will be like an attack from behind. This might be a big problem for PS3 (or whatever Sony likes to call it) but, hopefully not for X-box 2. I guess we will just have to wait.

K-Meleon is an extremely fast, customizable, lightweight web browser for the win32 (Windows) platform based on the Gecko layout engine (the rendering engine of Mozilla). K-Meleon is free, open source software. K-Meleon is super fast maybe even some would say faster than Firefox. K-Meleon has two kinds of browsers, 0.9 and 0.8. It has a great Pop-up blocker and, the themes and Skins are absolutely amazing. Truthfully I don,t think Microsoft should be to scared about this. If any of you would like to download this make shure you post what you think.

Siemens SK65 Reviewed: Coolest Phone You'll Never Get

It's a shame that Siemens is pulling out of the mobile phone business just before they end up releasing one of their coolest phones, the Blackberry-capable SK65. There's a review of the unit on BlackBerryForums and it looks greatâa couple of minor issues, like a smallish screen and occasionally bogged down application start times, but in general just a seriously well-designed product. Apparently only 150 of the phones have been made and that's likely all there will be, but at the bottom of the review they list a dealer who purportedly has 10 North American versions that he's selling for $900 apiece. If you've got the cash to plop there isn't going to be a much more exclusive phone around for a long while. Man I wish i had one!!!

Wow I just found this amazing item on the internet. This little thing claims to extend the life of your battery (of just about any electronic device apparently) by just sticking it on. If you don't believe me don't feel bad because i don't even believe me. That's right!!Handset giant Nokia has been working on a technology called Visual Radio, which takes an existing FM signal from a radio station and enables that station to add enhancements such as information and pictures. Mobile phones offering visual radio technology will be released into the UK market soon.

We never expected this, but two of our favorite technologies P2P and Wireless USB are about to rolled into one device thanks to Memsen's Click n' Share keychains. While providing the essential function of storing files as a USB flash drive, when two of these come within range of each other, wireless file sharing can take place between the two drives without any computer intervention. The keychains are also capable of interacting and downloading files such as product brochures from what Memsen calls the DataVendor, a Wireless USB enabled advertising display. I think this is a really big thing check it out.

G4 Strikes Again!!!

According to the latest press release from G4techTV, G4 will drop the TechTV name in mid-February 2005. This comes as a major step to the old TechTV viewers, as the focused content has become gaming-oriented once more. G4 also released a copy of their "redesigned" logo, but quickly pulled it off the web after release. They also will have "two new series, "Formula D" and "Girls Gone Wired." Formula D appears to be coverage of Drift Racing (because obviously gamers love that), and unfortunately Girls Gone Wired appears to be exactly what you'd expect a Beutty pageant of video game characters!!!! At least the name techtv will not have to be annoyed with being on the same line as G4. I wonder if they will make a new station on cable with tech shows. Well on a lighter note Leo Laporte has a great podcast at his site with Kevin Rose, Patrick Norton, David Prager, Roger Chang and Leo once again united at the MacWorld expo.

Today I am doing a review on the new dual screen Nintendo Ds. My first impression of the Nintendo DS was aaah this sounds kind pricey and no one will get one. Until I first played and the graphics blew me away. The wireless network is very cool also. Think about it you could be playing a game with up to 16 people and be chatting with "Picto Chat". The touch screen display is great for chatting with your friends. It's a great gaming system. This time I am proud to say I will give it a 8.9.

I have decided today I will do a review on the ipod photo. I guess the memory is cool (40 or 80 gigs). But I mean who wants to look at pictures on your ipod? Am I just stupid or wasn't the ipod made for MUSIC? The price is $500 for the 40GB one and get this $600 for the 80 gig. The idea is ok because seeing photos on your ipod is kind of cool, But get Real people!!! I will have to give it a 5.4.

Here is some true info on X-box 2!!!! No rumors Here

1) Hard Drive... Yes! There was some speculation that MS was going to take the HD out to make it more difficult to Mod.
2) Flash based HD... Yes!!! It was told to me that the HD was going to be flash based... small size fast access... BAM!
3) No Stupid Dongle DVD playback... Yes!!! The reason that the first Xbox didn't have built in DVD playback is a simple one, Sony owns the Intellectual Property rights for DVD playback. Nuf said...
4) Xbox II at E3... Yess!!! There will be an Xbox II maybe more at E3 this year...
5) Xbox II release date announced at E3... Yes!!! MS will be announcing a release date for Xbox II...
